Candy colours.

Dress: Vintage
Scarf: Thrifted
Belt: 60's (My Nans)
Shoes: Sherbert

So. Trying to take outfit pictures in my house is next to impossible. These are the only two out of possibly 30 that turned out some what ok. My terrible camera kept over exposing and my daughter wanted all of her books read. I slowly gave up.
I have two holidays now booked for this year, i'm so looking forward to them. The first is in August we are going camping again with my Mam in her caravan in Norfolk, its such a beautiful place, there's a lovely old mill with a shop full of (very) cheap vintage ornaments and such. Last time I brought a 1930's trinket box for £2.50! The shop is also full of lovely locally produced flour, jams, honey and more.
The next holiday isn't until November were i'm for the first time going to Butlins! A long girly weekend should be fun. Although it will probably be my first night away from Freya, slightly terrifying but i'm sure it wont be too bad.

After I took my petticoat off, Freya decided it was now her turn and walked around slowly like she was the most important baby in the world. Gah I love her.

Today is making a toy for a new baby to be (I'll be an Auntie again!), reading 100 more books for Freya, coffee drinking and a walk to the park.

A new challenge

Last week was a fun week, there was lot's of new recipe's I had a play with, such as carrot cake (i'd never eaten it before) which was the nicest thing i've had in so long! And so easy to make. I also made raspberry ice tea and the weather was even nice enough for ice cream floats. Yesterday was Fathers day and I was lucky enough to be surrounded by brilliant Dads. I made the biggest roast dinner i've ever had to do but it was lovely. Freya spent half of her time on top of the table dancing and squeeling but she was a good girl considering her awful lack of sleep that day!

I've set myself a challenge of trying to take as many photo's on my phone as I could, I dont take enough photo's and i'm so pleased with my results, there are some wonderful editing apps available.

Today is baking, promoting and possibly a walk into the forest later.

Happy Fathers day.

Just a quick post to say happy Fathers day to the best Dad to my daughter I could possibly ask for. I'm so thankful for how much he loves her. And thank you to my Dad, he's my best friend, and is there for me always.

In pictures.

Just a few shots from the last couple days. Its been sunny but so windy! My plants wont stay up at all, i'm forever outside picking them up. I can't believe how fast Freya is growing, she brings me so much joy. Even with her terrible tantrums and cheekyness. I'm so happy with the new layout, I still need to create an about me and links, but i'm getting there. Tomorrow is Fathers day, so i'm now off to paint cards with Freya!

Oh and the first image is my newly made wreathe. I'm so happy with it. I think I may have to make one for every room!

Remake

This year has been a year for new beginnings. I have tried to become the best mother I possibly can, a good partner (not always, i'll be the first to admit) and have given myself new job prospects. Honestly I have no real friends in my life, when I became a mother, people showed their true colours. I'm sure it will come in time, theres nothing more I would love than a close friend to share my journey with!

I've more recently attempted new attitudes, routines, food, anything and everything. I now make lists, make more things, crafts with Freya, more outdoors and keep on top of housework more often! I feel more in control of my life, like I now have more of a purpose than I may of a few months ago?

I am probably half way through my business plan, designs, idea's etc. I've sent out my business questionairres!
As i seem to constantly do, this blog is going to have a real make over, I constantly vision a beautiful, well updated blog and a year of new changes is a perfect reason to do so.
So while I am designing and playing with things it may be a mess!

Business business business

As usual, my blog has been neglected again. I am just terrible! I have been so so busy the past couple months.
I visited my Nan at the begining of April in Devon, it was Freya's first Birthday on the 22nd! It was wonderful, but quite stressful considering the size of my house and all our guests. Not to mention this awful English weather, it still feels like Winter now. I have also recently finished a business course with the Princes Trust, which has completely changed my life. Basically, I went in with the idea of having a vintage shop/bakery. The course taught me everything I need to know about business from marketing to taxes (not as hard as I had imagined) throughout the four day's I came to realise that this dream was completely unrealistic not only financially butin other ways to. So as I worked out what I could do, what I really wanted to do, and came to the conclusion of an online vintage shop selling clothes, accesories, home wares and perhaps eventually create my own vintage inspired clothing line. I also wish to hold vintage 'style' parties at peoples homes, where they are able to try vintage clothes on, have hair and makeup done and flick through my catalogue's to buy! After the course, we are given a mentor (a business man/woman with the knowledge we need) they will help us with our business plans, help set up and at we are also offered the chance of funding in a 'dragons den' type scenario. I am currently awaiting to hear who my mentor will be and my business plan is half way there already. We have come to the idea that my website will be up and running within six months! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am. It's all I think about when I wake up, when I go to sleep and I just can't wait to get started. A lot of people don't have faith in me with this which I completely understand! I have said SO many time's about setting a shop up for dolls/cakes/embroidery you name it. But this just feel's right you know? I just have to come up with a name which is proving harder than I thought.

Anyway, here are some photo's from the past few weeks I just love.

Busy

The past few days seem to have been fairly busy. Saturday it was my Mums birthday so she came to ours for lunch, chilli potato wedge bake was a success! I'll have to put the recipe up soon. I also managed to whip up a quick chocolate fudge cake with vanilla buttercream and blackberry jam for her birthday cake. It didn't last long to say the least. We also dressed in green to celebrate St patricks day!

Freya seems to of redicovered that she can climb stairs and I am forever chasing her away from them, she definitely keeps me on my toes. She's growing so quickly I can barely keep up. Her lovely personality has started to come out the past few weeks and she's the funniest, music loving, running little darling.

I've been working on a few projects as of late, I have so many on the go! As Spring is here, i'm eager to get in the garden, our flower bed needs filling and we need to plant fruit and veg in the little space we have.

I'm loving blogging at the moment, it gives me something to look forward to and think about, only it's distracting me so much the housework seems to be suffering. So now off to the mountain of washing up.
