Freya-Jane

This blog is slowly on its way to becoming a baby blog. Its amazing how in love and slightly obsessed you become? (In a good way of course)
We decided her name shall be Freya-Jane Marie, I think its beautiful. I brought her a few vintage goodies from Etsy and have to share.

Doll.

Im currently working on doll no.2. The first was most definitely a trial and error, and I don't think I'm even confident enough to show her. Have to admit doll 2 is coming along perfectly, I've come to realise that I am no fantastic sewer. But i'm learning! On Sunday i'll be getting a singer machine, which will help a lot. Hand sewing everything hasn't worked out as simple as I thought. I'm also seeing a family member Sunday who creates beautiful traditional bears, i'll be spending the day in her work shop and i'm hoping she'll show me all the wonderful techniques and skills so my doll's will improve drastically.

Shop however...seems a long way off from any items.
I'll get there.

A parasol is a must for next summer whilst all three of us go exploring together.

cartbeforethehorse is one of my favourite shops, I'd love this on display at Christmas.

Winter.

I adore the snow we're having. But I'd enjoy it more if I was able to stay inside with masses of cinnamon and apple tea. Working seems like such a distraction to me right now, all I dream about whilst I am there is of getting lost into the little world when I sew, paint and discover new music. I just wish to stay in the warm doing the things I love
.

My first ever dolly is coming along so well! She now has all her body parts, she just needs to be painted some more. Tonight I'm able to give her a face, I love that she'll properly come to life later.
I'll share her in the next few days. She is definitely the first of many to come.

Miniatures.

I received a dolls house for Christmas a couple years back, and never finished it.
I begged for it to be brought down from the loft a few days ago, and its just been brought down. I forgot how wonderful it is. I want to completely re-do it. So I took of the wallpaper and the cute tiny pictures and I have to start from scratch! I can't wait to start, I still have to fix two windows that got broken and have to fix the roof to the house. It shouldn't take too long.

Oh! And I started creating a dolly yesterday, I'm very very happy with her. She's currently drying at the moment as I'm painting her.

Inspiration Monday.
